A modular home is a pre-fab home that consists of repeated sections called “modules”. Modular homes are placed on a permanent foundation. Manufactured homes are built on a steel chassis with wheels attached (which are removed once the home is set down on the site).
Certain lenders specialize in financing manufactured/mobile homes not on a permanent foundation. Community West Bank, Mr. Clay Dickens, 805-692-4429, is one of my favorites, along with CRM Funding, Pat Ramey, 805-656-6141, is another of my favorite lenders. If you are considering financing, take your pick! Both are great!
Senior parks with manufactured homes are: Ventura Marina Community, Buenaventura, Lemonwood, LaPosada, Sunny Acres, Thunderbird in Thousand Oaks, Vallecito and Ventu Villa in Newbury Park. Those are a few of the nicer parks. If you prefer a home on a foundation, there is Rancho Ventura, Hollywood Beach, Camarillo Springs and Rancho Adolfo. All very nice, and I have experience in all of the above parks.
